Artistic Practice

Isabella Aurelia is a contemporary Ritual Artist. As material abundance and technology increasingly shape human life, Isabella Aurelia’s practice attends to a parallel longing: a return to nature, elemental experience, and a more immediate relationship with being alive. Harp, voice, breath, movement, prayer, meditation, writing, and visual art become materials within one contemplative ritual practice.

A Kiss to Everything

A Kiss to Everything

An Embrace of All Life

An Embrace of All Life

Rituals of gratitude for all life and existence.

Rituals of gratitude for all life and existence.

Rituals of gratitude for all life and existence.

As material life becomes increasingly abundant and technology shapes human experience, Isabella’s artistic practice turns toward an elemental return—to nature, breath, the body, and humanity’s place within the living world. It draws inspiration from animistic and shamanic ways of sensing existence as artistic and philosophical inquiry, never as religious doctrine, spiritual instruction, or supernatural authority. Through sparse harp sound, voice, breath, stillness, movement, prayer, meditation, and symbolic gestures of kisses and embraces toward life, her rituals invite participants to encounter their own capacity for restoration, gratitude, presence, and the natural radiance of being alive.

About Isabella

A practice shaped by the fragile luminosity of being alive.

For many years, Isabella’s contemporary art traced the source of the universe and the primordial energy of life. Her practice now moves from object-centred art toward lived ritual, sound, consciousness, and elemental encounters with the world.

Now five years beyond young-onset cancer, she carries a deepened attention to mortality, the body, and the fragile luminosity of being alive. This experience is not the subject of her work, but part of its biographical origin: an enduring inquiry into gratitude, life, and our place within a living world.
